Technical note – Imaging ChromaLIVE™ non-toxic dye on the CQ1 (Yokogawa)

This technical note is a guide providing guidance on imaging ChromaLIVE on the Yokogawa CQ1 high-content imaging system. It details the necessary steps to create custom settings for optimal imaging of live samples with our novel multi-chromatic live-cell imaging dye.

ChromaLIVE reveals distinct cellular staining patterns when excited around 488nm or 561nm. This blog post explains how specific filters on the Yokogawa CQ1 allow selective imaging of each staining pattern. It provides step-by-step instructions for setting up these filters, including specific excitation and emission wavelengths, as well as compatibility with Hoechst staining for nuclear segmentation. This ensures users can fully benefit from ChromaLIVE's technology by imaging cells at multiple wavelengths.
